"A momentous day.. a ground-breaking initiative.. a flagship for other colleges" - GAA President Christy Cooney was full of praise for the Bank of Ireland University of Ulster GAA Academy at its launch on Tuesday, November 23. 

Mr Cooney also lauded the new sponsors of the Academy for their courage in committing to a 5-year deal. He described the Bank of Ireland sponsorship as 'wonderful, positive news'.
